RoadLens – PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how Valkyrja Interactive LLC (“Valkyrja Interactive,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you use the RoadLens mobile application, website, and related online services (collectively, the “Services”).

By installing or using RoadLens you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.
If you do not agree, please uninstall or discontinue use.

RoadLens does not require an account and does not collect names, emails, photographs, or precise GPS location.

Children: We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or higher age where local law applies). If we learn we have done so, we delete it promptly.


2. Legal Bases (EEA / UK)

Where the GDPR or UK-GDPR applies, we process data on the bases of:

  • Legitimate Interests (analytics, security, non-personalised ads)
  • Contract (delivering the app you choose to install)
  • Consent (optional location access, future personalised ads)

3. How We Use Information

  1. Operate & maintain the Service — display cameras, handle in-app features.
  2. Analytics & improvement — understand usage patterns, plan coverage, fix bugs.
  3. Transactions — verify and restore purchases.
  4. Security & fraud prevention — detect misuse and protect infrastructure.
  5. Legal compliance — respond to lawful requests and enforce our Terms.

RoadLens does not send marketing e-mails or push notifications.

5. International Transfers

Data may be processed in the United States and other countries where Google or our providers operate. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and similar safeguards for cross-border transfers.

7. Security

  • Least-privilege staff access with multi-factor authentication
  • Automated vulnerability scans & periodic penetration tests

If a breach poses risk to your rights, we will notify you and regulators without undue delay, as required by law.


8. Your Rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection to processing.

How: e-mail support@valkyrjainteractive.com. We will verify your identity and respond within legal time-frames.

California (CCPA/CPRA): we do not “sell” personal information.
Colorado / Virginia / Connecticut: similar opt-out and appeal rights apply.


9. Cookies & Similar Tech

RoadLens uses first-party cookies and mobile SDKs solely for analytics and ad delivery. You can:

  • Reset your advertising identifier (Device Settings → Privacy → Ads)
  • Deny location permission (we fall back to IP-based location)
  • Disable personalised ads in system settings

Some analytics features may degrade, but core camera viewing remains functional.


10. Third-Party Links

RoadLens may link to external DOT websites or camera hosts. Their privacy practices are independent of ours; please review their policies.


11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy. Material changes will appear in-app. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
